Escondido Growers for Agriculture Preservation was co-founded in 2011 by Edward Grangetto Jr. and John Burr. Their main purpose; to perserve agriculture in Escondido and surrounding cities for generation to come. At the present time, the most pressing issue is to improve water access and water rates to Escondido Growers and the community. With water becoming more and more scarce, the need to improve “how” we get our water and from “what” source is crucial to the continued Agriculture economy that Escondido flourishes upon. Having access to affordable water for the Ag community will continue to provide local businesses with fresh local produce, keep jobs local and retain them, as well maintain the beauty we all live upon here in Escondido.
